Vaults related to JPY DeFi will be deployed on Fusion by IPOR to extend where JPYdf can be integrated and to improve its capital efficiency.

DeltaForesight Inc. (CEO: Yusuke Jindo; "DeltaForesight"), a contributor to the design and development of the DeFi protocol JPY DeFi, will utilise Fusion, the vault infrastructure developed by IPOR Labs, in JPY DeFi. By deploying vaults related to JPY DeFi on Fusion, DeltaForesight aims to have JPYdf, a crypto-backed stablecoin designed to track the value of the Japanese yen, used across multiple DeFi protocols. This follows DeltaForesight's announcement on 25 September 2026 of JPY 324 million (approximately US$2.1 million) in cumulative funding, and forms part of the development of new partnerships that the funding supports.

Note: "Crypto-backed stablecoin" describes a design intended to maintain a stable value. JPYdf does not represent a yen-denominated monetary claim, a right to redemption in Japanese yen, or any other currency-denominated asset under Japan's Payment Services Act. Tracking the value of the yen is a design objective only. Value linkage to the yen, price stability, redemption in Japanese yen, and preservation of principal are not guaranteed.

What is Fusion by IPOR

Fusion, developed by IPOR Labs, is non-custodial vault infrastructure for DeFi. Vaults on Fusion connect to DeFi protocols through modular smart contracts called Fuses. Each vault is configured by its operator, who sets its strategy and parameters. Vault tokens follow ERC-4626, the Ethereum standard for tokenised vaults.

Making JPYdf easier to integrate and keeping it in use through vaults on Fusion

Vaults on Fusion add two properties to JPYdf.

The first is composability. Shares in vaults on Fusion are ERC-4626 tokens, and they will be designed to be issued in a form that other DeFi protocols and wallets can use. This creates an entry point for wallets, DeFi protocols and other curators using Fusion to integrate JPYdf into their own products and services.

The second is capital efficiency. Using the connections provided by Fuses, the aim is to keep JPYdf in use within DeFi rather than sitting idle in wallets.

The specific strategies, integrations and target chains for the vaults will be determined by DeltaForesight, with IPOR Labs providing the vault infrastructure and technical support.

Next steps

As a JPY DeFi roadmap item, Fusion vaults are planned to become available after mainnet launch. The vault structure, the providing entity, eligible regions and launch timing will be determined following development, external security audits and legal review, and will be announced separately.

Comment from Yusuke Jindo, Founder and CEO at DeltaForesight

"For JPYdf to take hold as an asset designed to track the value of the Japanese yen, where it can be used after issuance matters as much as how it is issued. By utilising IPOR Fusion as vault infrastructure, we will make JPYdf an asset that wallets and DeFi protocols can easily integrate and that stays in use within DeFi."

Comment from Darren Camas, Co-Founder and CEO, IPOR Labs

"The yen is the world's third most traded currency, while yen stablecoins sit at roughly $230M onchain against about $300B for dollar ones, according to Token Terminal. That sets the stage for massive potential onchain growth, particularly in onchain FX, rates, and yield. Vaults on Fusion give JPYdf a way into wallets and DeFi protocols through a standard they already support, and we're glad to provide that infrastructure."

About JPY DeFi

JPY DeFi is a DeFi protocol under development that will enable users to borrow JPYdf against crypto assets, stablecoins, and other eligible collateral.

Under the protocol's design, JPYdf is issued on an overcollateralised basis, backed by assets deposited by users and governed by rules encoded in smart contracts. Users can borrow JPYdf without selling their holdings. If collateral values fall and a position's collateral ratio drops below the required threshold, however, the position may be liquidated.

Development is progressing towards mainnet launch alongside a review of legal requirements and the arrangements for making the protocol available. Available features, terms of use, and launch timing will be announced as this work progresses.
