With support from Fracton Ventures since its founding, DeltaForesight will continue working with the firm to advance the Ethereum ecosystem through JPYdf, a crypto-backed stablecoin designed to track the Japanese yen.

DeltaForesight Inc. (Representative Director and CEO: Yusuke Jindo; “DeltaForesight”) has received support since its founding from Fracton Ventures Inc. (Representative Directors: Yudai Suzuki and Toshi Kamei; “Fracton Ventures”), an incubator focused on the Ethereum ecosystem. The two companies will continue working together to contribute to the development of the Ethereum ecosystem through JPYdf, a crypto-backed stablecoin designed to track the value of the Japanese yen.

Note: “Crypto-backed stablecoin” describes a design intended to maintain a stable value. JPYdf does not represent a yen-denominated monetary claim, a right to redemption in Japanese yen, or any other currency-denominated asset under Japan’s Payment Services Act. Tracking the value of the yen is a design objective only. Value linkage to the yen, price stability, redemption in Japanese yen, and preservation of principal are not guaranteed.

Background

Most stablecoins used in finance on Ethereum are denominated in US dollars, and options for borrowing and transacting in yen remain limited. DeltaForesight contributes to the development of JPY DeFi, a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol. By enabling users to borrow JPYdf against crypto assets and other collateral, JPY DeFi aims to create that option on Ethereum.

Fracton Ventures has supported startups in Japan and overseas since 2021. It supports DeltaForesight in business development and in building relationships with businesses in Japan and abroad.

Comment from Fracton Ventures

Yudai Suzuki, Representative Director, Fracton Ventures Inc.

Through stablecoins and tokenized assets, Ethereum is becoming a financial infrastructure used by financial institutions and businesses. Expanding the choice of units of account beyond the US dollar is essential to the development of that ecosystem. As a project originating in Japan, JPYdf aims to provide one such option.

We also believe that one yen-denominated option is not enough. Only when multiple options with different design approaches are available, and users can choose according to their needs, will yen-denominated activity on Ethereum gain depth. JPYdf adds the option of borrowing within DeFi against crypto assets.

Yusuke is an entrepreneur who has audited crypto asset exchanges as a certified public accountant and has experience launching services and managing businesses. Since the company’s earliest days, we have seen his persistent work on design from both regulatory and product perspectives. Together with DeltaForesight, Fracton Ventures will connect Japanese businesses and financial institutions with the Ethereum ecosystem. We will continue working together to help JPYdf grow into a product used in Japan and abroad.

Comment from Yusuke Jindo, Representative Director and CEO, DeltaForesight

The Fracton Ventures team has supported us since shortly after we founded the company. They have also given us many opportunities to connect with the Ethereum community and businesses in the ecosystem. I am deeply grateful for their support.

On Ethereum, assets from around the world move regardless of borders or time. If the yen becomes a unit of account used there, I believe Ethereum will become a more accessible infrastructure for Japanese businesses and financial institutions.

JPYdf is still a young project. Together with Fracton Ventures, we will keep taking steps to contribute to the development of the Ethereum ecosystem.

About JPY DeFi

JPYdf is issued on an over-collateralized basis, backed by crypto assets and other assets deposited by users, under rules encoded in smart contracts. Users can borrow JPYdf without selling the assets they hold. However, positions may be liquidated if the value of collateral falls below the required collateral ratio.

JPY DeFi launched on Ethereum mainnet on October 15, 2026.
